Theia holds
the seabed.

Theia's nodes sit on the seabed and listen. They hear anchors drag and vessels loiter, send the warning ashore, and move themselves to wherever they're needed next.

01 / Only Theia

A field that moves itself.

Every Theia node can lift off the seabed, travel under its own power and land again. The field closes in around a threat or follows a new cable route without a ship, a diver or a crane.

  1. Park

The node settles on the seabed and listens, using almost no power while it's parked.

  2. Move on command

Give it a new position and the node lifts off, travels there and lands.

  3. Re-form

The field closes in around a threat, fills a gap or follows a new cable route while the other nodes keep listening.

02 / The gap

Europe runs on the seabed.

Power, data and gas cross the Baltic and the North Sea through thousands of kilometres of cables and pipelines, and almost none of it is monitored.

Most damage starts with a ship: one that loiters over a cable, or drops an anchor and drags it. Theia hears that from the seabed and gets the warning ashore in time to act.

03 / How Theia works

How Theia works.

  1. Listen

Each node sits on the seabed beside the cable and listens day and night.

  2. Recognise

Theia runs the same intelligence as Argus underwater. It recognises anchor drag, loitering vessels and work on the seabed, and an unknown sound brings neighbouring nodes in to listen until it is identified.

  3. Relay

The call passes node to node through the water, up to the shore and into the operator's tools.

  4. Move

When the job changes, the nodes move themselves and start listening again where they land.

04 / What the operator sees

Threats on top, routine traffic in the log.

Shipping lanes are busy, so Theia logs routine traffic and puts real threats at the top of the list, each with its evidence.

05 / One platform

Land and sea in one picture.

Theia shares its software with Argus and reports through Atlas, so a cable landing watched from land and sea shows up as one site.
